Niclas Nilsson assumed the role of the President of the Swedish Muaythai Federation after he was put forward to the position by the board.

Niclas has gone an entire way in muaythai starting his athletic career in 1999 in the Malmo Muaythai Club staying loyal to it throughout his entire sports life. Before his new role in the Swedish muaythai Nicals has been an instructor and the chairman of the club.

Niclas said that after several international competitions arranged by IFMA that I attended as a coach, my interest for the organisation began to grow. So when the question was raised if I had any interest of becoming the new president, I didn’t hesitate to accept.

My main goals as the new president of the Swedish Muaythai council, is to spread the sport within Sweden so even more people can practice the sport. But I also want to create a strong team from Sweden that we will send to compete at the international championship.
